LIGHTS MASAKA FOUNDATION

Why we exist:
In Uganda, street children have limited access to state support – yet the international rights of children remain.
Our purpose is to provide a violence-free home and quality education for as many street children as possible, enabling them to live sustainable and self-determined lifes in the future.

Mission:
Our holistic approach is to rescue children from the streets, provide immediate safe home through street children outreaches, emergency shelter, Emma Dow orphanage, foster care and nurture them in a violence-free environment with quality formal education and vocational skill training.
Vision:
The vision of Lights Masaka Foundation is to empower street children guide them back to school and build a sustainable future through education and holistic support. We aim to make all our programs long-term and self-sustaining so that we can positively impact generation after generation. Recognizing that the social and economic challenges that once drove children to the streets continue to affect the new generations, henceforth we work closely with communities to raise awareness, address root causes, and create lasting change. By combining education empowerment, and community collaboration, we help street children regain perspective for their future, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
